Uploading Folders to Moodle from your Computer.

.) Create a Folder preferably on your Desktop and move the files you wish to upload into that folder. The maximum allowable upload limit for the entire folder is 50 MB. Right click on the folder and select "properties" to confirm that the size is less than 50 MB.

.) Right click on the folder and select "Send to" and compress (Zip) that folder.

.) Go to your Moodle class that you wish to upload the folder and click on the "Files" folder located under the "Administration" block to the left of your main class page.

.) Click on the "Upload a File" button and upload the Compressed folder (Zip).

.) Click on the "Unzip" option for that folder located under "Action" and click on OK. You will now have a Folder created with your files. Delete the compressed (.ZIP) file by checking the box next to it and clicking on the drop down menu at the bottom of the page "With chosen files" and selecting "Delete completely".

.) Go back to the main page of your Moodle class and select the week or topic that you would like to add the Folder to. Click on "Add a resource" and select the "Display a directory" option.

.) Give the folder a name and then scroll down to the middle of the page to where it says "Display a directory" and select the folder name that you uploaded from the "main files directory" drop down option. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Save and return to course". The folder should now be available on your main Moodle class page on the week that you selected to display it on.
